Bedraggled is a cabaret with a bit of a difference.

Eleven ordinary lads of all shapes and sizes undergo

training to become drag queens for one spectacular show!

The X Foundation would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who made our first Bedraggled such a huge success on April 1st. The show raised just under £3500 for Prostate Cancer Research Foundation and created at least one new cabaret star. We are very grateful to our wonderful hosts The LipSinkers; all of the brave boys who took part; and everyone who supported the event by buying a ticket or sponsoring a drag debutante.

Special mentions must go to our runners-up: Adam Bridge performing as the beautiful "Fran Tastic"; and Jason Hyde, who single-handedly raised an incredible £1000 performing as "Jacqueline Hyde". But our congratulations go to the first ever Bedraggled Best Drag Debutante: Alex Madewell performing as "Vicky Park". Alex, you are a star!

Prostate cancer kills almost the same amount of people each year as breast cancer, and yet it receives only one tenth of the financial support. This is partly because women have done such an extraordinary job of drawing attention to their issue. The X Foundation aims to redress this imbalance via a series of ambitious projects, the first of which is Bedraggled.

It is time for the chaps to stand up and be counted.

Men have issues too.

We are already planning the next Bedraggled, so if you happen to

be - or know - a fearless fellow who could be persuaded to put on a frock

 and learn a fabulously flamboyant lipsynced number in aid of a

good cause, please get in touch.
